Hi there! I’m Annie, and I’m thrilled to finally share a bit about myself and my writing journey with you. Writing wasn’t always on my radar as a career choice—it kind of snuck up on me like one of those unexpected creative sparks you can’t ignore. Once it hit, though, there was no turning back. Now, I’m fully immersed in crafting stories that blend humor, emotional depth, and a healthy dose of chaos.

I was born in New Orleans and moved to South Florida when I was five, so my writing is often flavored with a bit of Southern charm and a whole lot of personality. For me, stories are more than just words on a page—they're emotional journeys, full of humor and real-life messiness. I love exploring the human experience through the lens of love, family dynamics, and all the craziness that comes with it. My latest project, The In-Law Insanity, is the perfect example of that.

The In-Law Insanity: A Love Story with a Side of Dysfunction

Let me introduce you to The In-Law Insanity, a story that’s close to my heart. It’s a love story, sure, but it's wrapped in layers of family drama, dark humor, and the constant push-pull of trying to keep your sanity when surrounded by madness.

At its core, it’s the story of Alex, a woman who falls in love with Michael—a woman with a narcissistic, emotionally abusive family. Trust me when I say, Michael’s family is a special kind of toxic. From the overbearing Nora Farrington, who thrives on control and manipulation, to Michael’s sister Jordan, who’s self-centered and unpredictable, they bring a whole new meaning to the term “family drama.” Despite it all, Michael loves them—and that’s where the real tension lies.

As Alex steps into Michael’s world, she quickly realizes that love isn't just about two people—it’s about navigating the ripple effect of everyone around them. And Michael’s family? They’re like a tidal wave.

The In-Law Insanity is a journey through the highs and lows of love, with plenty of laugh-out-loud moments and cringe-worthy family confrontations. There’s dark humor, raw emotion, and a deep look at what it means to stand by someone when their world is spiraling out of control.
